How did you know your Mira Zwillinger dress was ‘the one’?
I knew it was the one because it felt romantic, effortless, and completely true to the vision I had for my wedding ceremony. The floral embroidery, voluminous skirt, and rich floral train felt timeless but still whimsical, exactly what I wanted for a lakeside ceremony.
What was most important to you when choosing your wedding gown – and why?
The most important thing was finding a gown that felt romantic and timeless, but still personal to me. I wanted something that felt elegant without feeling overly traditional, with details that were soft, feminine, and memorable. Above all, I wanted a gown that made me feel confident and effortless, so that I could be fully present in the moment.
How did you feel when you tried on your Mira Zwillinger gown for the first time - after it was custom - made to your exact measurements?
I felt emotional and excited. Trying it on after it had been made to my exact measurementsmade everything suddenly feel real. It was no longer just the idea of my wedding dress, itwasmydress, and the fit, movement, and details came together so beautifully.
What’s one thing you learned during the process of finding your gown – that you’d love future brides to know?
The right gown is not always the one you expected to choose. It is the one that makes you feel most like yourself. There are so many beautiful dresses, but the one you remember is the one that fits your personality, your venue, and the feeling you want for the day.
What are 3 tips you’d give to any bride planning her big day?
- Choose vendors and outfits that feel aligned with who you are as a couple, not just what looks beautiful on a mood board.
- Build in personal touches wherever you canto make the day feel even more meaningful.
- Once the wedding begins, let go and be present.
If you had matching accessories (like a veil or topper), how did they enhance your bridal look and bring your vision to life?
I kept my accessories elegant and classic so the gown could remain the focus. The floral embroidery and rich train already had so much beauty and detail, so I wanted the overall look to feel romantic, polished, and not overdone.
Looking back, is there one mistake you made during the planning process – and what would you recommend future brides to avoid?
I would recommend avoiding the urge to perfect every detail until the very last minute. It isso easy to keep tweaking and second-guessing decisions, but at some point, you have totrust the choices you made and the people helping bring them to life.
