In our Joy gown and matching Jolli veil, Amanda was the embodiment of modern bridal poetry. The gown’s sweetheart strapless neckline and voluminous A-line silhouette created a striking yet graceful presence, while delicate floral appliqués appeared to bloom organically across layers of intricate lace. How did you know your Mira Zwillinger dress was ‘the one’?
I tried on so many dresses from all different brands but none captured my imagination like Mira Zwillinger dresses. I was torn between Joy, Jolli and Misha but ultimately went with Joy because I really wanted something with a floral style, it also really stuck with me the moment I tried it on.
What was most important to you when choosing your wedding gown – and why?
I wanted something that would stand out and I was really focussed on the design of thetrain. I wanted something that would be photogenic amd memorable.
How did you feel when you tried on your Mira Zwillinger gown for the first time - after it was custom - made to your exact measurements?
I felt very emotional and could not wait to wear it on my big day!
What’s one thing you learned during the process of finding your gown – that you’d love future brides to know?
Try out all different styles of dresses, you will never know if something suits you until youtry it on and you should keep on trying until you find one that makes you think ‘she is the one’!
What are 3 tips you’d give to any bride planning her big day?
- Don’t get lost in the small details, your guests probably will not notice that one tiny thing you are concerned about.
- Enjoy the process because it is a once in a lifetime experience!
- Tell your vendors exactly what you want.
If you had matching accessories (like a veil or topper), how did they enhance your bridal look and bring your vision to life?
I decided to pair my gown with the Jolli veil, despite not being a matching set I thought the floral patterns on the veil really added to the look by making it more elegant and dreamy, matching the vibe of my wedding in Bali!
Looking back, is there one mistake you made during the planning process – and what would you recommend future brides to avoid?
I was very paranoid that things would go wrong on the day but looking back, I should have just enjoyed my bridezilla phase to the max without any worries because you will come to miss it once it is all over.
