For her wedding day, Maryann wore a custom Audrey ball gown, where shimmering leaf embroidery and delicate floral accents cascaded across its sculptural silhouette. Designed as one complete couture story, the look was paired with a matching veil and detachable topper, each meticulously handcrafted to extend the gown's intricate embroidery beyond the dress itself. How did you know your Mira Zwillinger dress was ‘the one’?
I knew my dress was the one because it was the only dress that I wanted to try on again as I was shopping for my wedding gown. I felt like the dress was made for me and perfectly matched my personality and style while also being timeless. I knew that I always wanted a wedding gown that had intricate details. The combination of lace and appliqué was different than anything that I have ever seen before and I knew there wasn’t another dress out there that I would love more
What was most important to you when choosing your wedding gown – and why?
I have been dreaming about my wedding and wedding gown for as long as I can remember so it was important to me to find a feminine dress that made me feel confident and beautiful. I wanted something that was elegant but also timeless and fun
How did you feel when you tried on your Mira Zwillinger gown for the first time — after it was custom-made to your exact measurements?
It was everything that I dreamed of! It was a feeling I will never forget, and it made me even more excited than I already was for our wedding day. I made a few changes to the original gown so it was so amazing to see the final product for the first time. Seeing the added sequins and updated neckline almost one year after deciding to make these changes was so exciting. Every detail was so beyond perfect and I would not go back and change anything!
What’s one thing you learned during the process of finding your gown — that you’d love future brides to know?
Try on as many dresses as you can! Keep an open mind and try on different styles even if you think you know which style you want!
What are 3 tips you’d give to any bride planning her big day?
- Enjoy every part of the planning process – don’t stress and find ways tomake it fun! Surround yourself with a dream team of vendors you trust
- Stay in the moment – the day goes by so fast so remember to cherish and soak in every big and small moment with the people who came to celebrate your love
- Find shoes that are comfortable – it makes the biggest difference!
If you had matching accessories (like a veil or topper), how did they enhance your bridal look and bring your vision to life?
There was no question in my mind that I would also wear the Jase veil to complete the full bridal look! It was so beautifully crafted and I loved the shorter length
Looking back, is there one mistake you made during the planning process — and what would you recommend future brides to avoid?
I don’t think there were any mistakes during the planning process, but I definitely recommend hiring a team of vendors that you trust to execute your vision perfectly so that you do not have to worry or have any regrets on your wedding day
