Light & Colorful Beach Wedding
Our #MZBride of the week is the gorgeous Rachel Robins who got married in our Charla gown . Surrounded by their closest friends and family the couple held their intimate wedding near the beach in Florida.
In the following interview, Rachel shares with us how she started planning her wedding journey and her experience with Casa de Novia Bridal store!
How did you start planning your wedding? What were the first steps?
We got engaged in the summer of 2020 during the height of the pandemic. Due to the uncertainty at the time, there wasn’t a ton of planning happening, so we were able to take a few months to really enjoy our engagement before all of the wedding planning began.

We originally planned to get married in our hometown because travel was pretty challenging at the time, but we ultimately decided to push our wedding back to February of 2022 so that we could do destination. It was the best decision we could have ever made! Once we got started, we chose our venue and wedding planner, and it quickly came together after that.
How did you know your dress was 'the one’?
I fell in love with this dress on the rack, and it was actually the second dress that I tried on. I loved the train and the detail of the flowers/leaves. I tried on quite a few other dresses thinking that there was no way that I would be the bride that fell in love with the second dress that I tried on…but I kept going back to it! Everything about it was perfect.
How did you find working with the bridal store team ?
Casa de Novia in Houston, TX was so great to work with. I was nervous going into my first wedding dress try on appointment because I had no idea what I wanted. I described my overall vision for our wedding, and they pointed me in the right direction.

They were patient and let me think on it for a few weeks. I never felt rushed or pressured, and it was one of my favorite experiences during the wedding planning process!
What advice would you give to all our future brides?
Try to take a deep breath and relax during wedding weekend… but that’s definitely easier said than done!
What was your wedding theme?
We got married overlooking the beach, so we wanted it to be light, airy and colorful. We wanted an open air feel, so we went with a clear top tent and incorporated color with our linens and flowers.
