How did you know your dress was 'the one'?

I was the girl who had 0 idea what she wanted... My mom, a family friend, and I traveled to NYC to go dress shopping and made appointments at 5 places. We went to a few and tried on dresses and there were ones that were contenders but the second we walked in to Mark Ingram (Mira was having a trunk show that day) we saw my dress on the floor and I told them I had to try it on. I put it on and everyone in the room gasped, and that was the moment we knew. I tried it on multiple times and couldn't get it out of my head after we left. We immediately came back to ATL and I ordered it through Mandi Jackson.

How did you start planning your wedding? What were the first steps?

The second we got engaged I knew we wanted to get married at the Ritz Lake Oconee, so we immediately looked into what they had available. We originally thought we would be getting married in Spring/Summer but once they had us envision fall at the lake, we were sold. We both went to schools in the SEC and picked a weekend we thought would be the bye weekend for UGA. It ended up not being that date, but it all worked out for the best. After securing the date we booked our band, which we had seen at my Matron of Honors wedding. It was a little backwards and we should have definitely picked our planner first (Lindsay Jones, she is incredible!!), but we knew what we wanted and didn't want to lose the place or band
How did you find working with the bridal store team?
I LOVE Mandi and her team. They knew exactly what to do to make the dress fit me perfectly. We tried out different bustles until we found what we wanted, and they just made me feel so comfortable through the many fittings.

What are 3 tips you’d give to any bride planning her big day?

1. Don’t sweat the small stuff. Just focus on you and your new husband.

2.Make sure to EAT! I did not eat the night before because of nerves and I was feeling it the nextmorning. Eating gives you energy and allows you to drink and enjoy the party.

3. Make sure your shoes are comfortable. I chose cute over comfort and I was feeling it the next day, and had so many blisters. It was worth it because I am obsessed with my wedding shoes but if you do choose cute over comfort, make sure you wear them in before your big day

If you had to describe your wedding theme, what name would you give?

FALL

The Jordi gown is a vision of modern romance, a strapless masterpiece that captures both strength and softness in perfect harmony. Its structured corset sculpts the silhouette with timeless elegance, while the silk organza ball gown unfolds in bold, abstract floral appliqués, creating a sense of movement and ethereal lightness.

Each detail is handcrafted in our atelier, reflecting the artistry and precision that define Mira Zwillinger couture. The result is a gown that feels alive, a celebration of texture, femininity, and modern sophistication. For the bride who seeks effortless grace with a touch of couture drama, Jordi is more than a gown — it’s a statement of individuality and timeless beauty.
