How did you know your Mira Zwillinger dress was ‘the one’ 

I immediately fell in love with the Neyo fabric and skirt shape. When I tried it on, it was the first dress that made me want to try it on again. I always knew I wanted a dress with straps, so we custom ordered the gown with straps. However, as time went on and the more I looked at pictures of myself in dresses I realized I really was in love with a square neck bodice. We contacted the Mira team months into the dress making process and they were so kind to oblige with the late request! It was also at that time we decided to add a lace underlay to the skirt to fill in some of the blank spaces.

What was most important to you when choosing your wedding gown and why?

I wanted something that was elegant and a representation of my style.

How did you feel when you tried on your Mira Zwillinger gown for the first time after it was
custom-made to your exact measurements?

It was very surreal. I had made a lot of changes to the original dress and fully had to trust the Mira team. Once I finally tried it on, it was truly everything I could have imagined. It was perfect and fit like a glove.

What’s one thing you learned during the process of finding your gown that you’d love future brides to know?

Don’t rush the process. If you have time, take it don’t feel pressured to find your dress ASAP. Try on as many dresses as you can!

Deep breathes
Remember what the point of all of it is
Try to enjoy every part of the process

Looking back, is there one mistake you made during the planning process and what would you recommend future brides to avoid?

I don’t think there were any actual mistakes made, but I think if I could do it again I wouldn’t let the stress overwhelm or intimidate me. Choose a team you trust, trust yourself & your vision, and be decisive.
